Jeff Koons created this fab project for Dom Perignon. That piece of sculpture in the background is the case for the bottle. The price, $20,000. Which is a bargain for a small Koons. He set $35,0000,000 record, FYI. I want one, but it is a VERY limited edition.
SJP looks all of that in Naeem Khan. In the year of Gatsby, Sarah Jessica Parker went flapper fabulous at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London. Oh, it’s just a little gold beaded fringe dress with nude tulle racerback bodice from Resort 2014, Mam. Dare I mention that everyone in the background look appears rather frumpy by comparison? Go Naeem!
These boards were created for W Hotels in collaboration with STOKED.org to benefit underserved kids in NYC. The launch is June 26. And Amar’e Stoudemire, Cara DeLevigne, Cope2, David LaChapelle, and Zana Bayne designed these boards. Oddly enough, the Beastie Boys pics by LaChapelle were taken for a story that I wrote. I interviewed 70 young bands for Interview, and David took the pics. I had just graduated from college and the Beastie Boys threatened to come to Interview and beat me up while we were talking on the phone. I am still laughing . . . We don’t want to get any royal knickers up in a twist, but would like to offer a wee peek at the hotel where Kate Middleton slept the night before her wedding, ahem. The Goring has a Royal Warrant. And, no, that doesn’t mean that Dog the Bounty Hunter will be showing up any time soon. It is the only hotel with a Warrant from the Queen of England, making it a decided royal fave. And they’ve created a Royal Coronation Afternoon Tea in honor of The Queen’s 60th Anniversary Coronation in July. Includes: Earl Grey tea macaroon with chocolate crown, strawberry tart. Plus, tealeaves sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas. The special tea menu will be served throughout the months of June and July (priced at $52/ $65 with a glass of Bollinger Champagne). In fact, the Goring received the 2013 London Tea Award by the UK Tea Guild. Would be pretty sweet to stay here during the coronation anniversary festivities, no?

So glad I went to “This Is The End” tonight. AMAZING!!!!!!!! The co-author Evan Goldberg told me that he and Seth Rogen had two ideas, one, end of world idea, two, celebs playing themselves. And they threw them together. And it is just oddly successful. Fun, smart, interesting, weird, MIND BLOWING. You kind of won’t believe it. And Seth was being really nice and talked to everybody. And Evan was saying to Ed Norton after that he kept looking back to see what he thought. Hello–it is just insanely great! A bunch of celeb bros try to ride out the end of the world at James Franco’s house. F-ing nuts. . . They were saying they had to pick celebs that would do ANYTHING without getting weird. And they SURE DO!
Crown Princess Madeleine of Sweden married NY Banker Christopher O’Neill in a spectacular wedding dress by Valentino in Stockholm this weekend. And while the Valentino sketch of the design was spectacular, the reality, surrounded by the pomp of the Swedish court, was even more spectacular. Her sister, HRH Princess Victoria wore Jenny Packham to one wedding event.
Okay, it wasn’t as creepy as “Eyes Wide Shut,” no weird music no human sacrifice, no weird voice, no Tom Cruise But there was a macabre element to the Carnevale festivities at Morel’s restaurant within The Grove, Los Angeles, when The Venetian and The Palazzo, Las Vegas brought their vine stilt walkers and Create Your Own Mask Contest on the road. Morel’s can also be found at The Palazzo in Las Vegas. And Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott did the The “Eyes Wide Shut” like masked date night sans kids. But this weekend is little Stella’s b-day. Dean is now the host of Chopped Canada and has been filming in Toronto and was thrilled to be back and to hang with the masked strangers. . . and Tori. Masks or no masks, they do still seem to be smitten.
And speaking of the edgy characters from The Venetian, they also made an appearance at the 12th Annual Crysalis Butterfly Ball at a chic private estate in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 8. Also spotted Max Greenfield of New Girl, Lea Michele, Eric Dane, Colin Egglesfield, Ali Larter (who was just in NYC last week), and Kim Raver.

Monday’s CFDA was superbly starry. And everyone was so nice. Ashley Olsen kindly answered one more question than her handler had suggested she should. Nicole Richie was really sweet. Sophia Vergara gave me crazy open and fun answers. Lindsay Vonn ended up telling me a story that had us all in stitches. One thing I can’t even print. Talked to Rooney Mara, Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain, and just about every designer you can think of. But my big moment, was completely random. We were on the way to the green room and we took the wrong path twice and then, we were very nicely asked to just freeze and stand against the wall. And then this group came through, really tony, and, yup, that was Hillary Rodham Clinton and Oscar De la Renta headed to the stage. Big moment. And she looks great, the hair beautifully honey blonde highlights, big chunky earrings, two tier danglers, lovely Oscar kind of dress with pants. On stage she said he came up to her years ago and said, she was wearing him, and asked her to take a spin. And that they became really close and she’s visited him in Dominican and seen his orphanage where she says that he does work just and important and beautiful as his fashion. He has accomplished so much and yet seemed to really appreciate being in a room with all the young talent, and said that they made New York Fashion capital of world. Ralph Lauren gave Vera Wang lifetime achievement award and he had on jeans and double breasted tux jacket, and I’m thinking, why don’t I try to dress cooler like him. . . and he’s no spring chicken. Just a great, great night. Supermodels galore. Linda Evangelista, Carlie Kloss. . . Amazing night. So lucky to join. .. Andy Cohen said he was back stage with Hilary and Oscar and Diane and Diane kept telling everyone how nervous he was. And he claims he wasn’t that nervous. But they all kept telling him how dead the room is. And it is true. Jokes that aren’t hip enough just die in that room. ..
But he was prepared. Said that he was going to wear Beyonce nipple dress that The Blondes created and Diane strongly frowned on that idea. So he didn’t. And I think she was soo right. Can you imagine if DVF was telling all these really important people you were nervous. Sooooo funny. . Great, great night. And the passed food at the after thing was insanely good. . . and then everyone was off to Top of Standard afterfete. ..
Simon G. Jewelry hosted their annual soiree at TAO Las Vegas in The Venetian on Saturday June 1. We spotted just married Katrina Bowdena and Ben Jorgenson, Paula Abdul, Jenny McCarthy, Mario Lopez and his new bride Courtney (who seem to practically live in Vegas), Giles and Carole Marini, and Audrina Patridge. Think acrobats, Lychee Martinies in VIP lounge, and The Angry Mule was served with Kentucky bourbon and Herradura tequila. The Village People ended the evening with a bang, performing Y.M.C.A. with confetti cannons blasting the decidedly VI-B contingent.guests.
